Umm Al-Quwain General Investments Company, formerly known as Umm Al-Quwain Cement Industries Company, was established as a public joint stock company under Emiri Decree No. 82/2 on February 11, 1982, in the Emirate of Umm Al-Quwain .
A transformative step was taken after the shareholders' decision on March 19, 2016, to change the company's name to Umm Al-Quwain General Investments Company (Public Joint Stock Company) to focus on investment opportunities .
